These Terms & Conditions govern your use of palaceonwheelstour.com and any booking made through Colourful Indian Holidays ("we," "us"). By submitting an enquiry or completing a booking with us, you agree to the terms below.
1. Our Role
Colourful Indian Holidays is an authorized booking agent for the Palace on Wheels luxury train. The train itself is owned and operated by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) and Indian Railways. We facilitate your booking, payment, and pre-tour support, but the operation of the train, its schedule, and onboard services are the responsibility of the operator.
2. Booking Process
A booking is confirmed only once we have received your required deposit or full payment and issued written confirmation. Please check the Departure Dates page for current availability before booking, as popular dates and cabin classes can sell out.
3. Pricing & Payment
Fares are as published on our Price & Tariff page at the time of booking, in USD for foreign passport holders or INR for Indian nationals. The operator reserves the right to revise tariffs without prior notice; we will always confirm the current applicable rate before you pay. GST and any applicable government taxes are charged in addition to the quoted fare.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations must be submitted to us in writing. Refunds (where applicable) are calculated based on how far in advance of departure you cancel:

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, and travel disruptions.
5. Your Responsibilities
As a traveler, you are responsible for:
- Holding a valid passport and any required Indian visa for the full duration of your trip
- Arriving at the departure point (Safdarjung Railway Station, New Delhi) on time
- Disclosing any medical conditions that may affect your ability to travel or participate in excursions
- Complying with the operator's onboard rules and conduct expectations
6. Limitation of Liability
As a booking agent, we are not liable for acts, omissions, delays, or changes made by the train operator, hotels, or other third-party service providers, including schedule changes, itinerary modifications, or cancellations outside our control. Our liability is limited to the services we directly provide as your booking agent.
7. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for any failure to perform our obligations where that failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government action, strikes, or public health emergencies.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
