When to Travel: Peak vs. Off-Season
The Palace on Wheels runs from approximately October through March (peak season) and sometimes into April/September (shoulder). The summer months (May–August) see an off-season at significantly reduced fares, though Rajasthan's heat is considerable.
For most international travelers, the sweet spot is November through February — pleasant temperatures, golden light, and the full richness of Rajasthani cultural festivals.
